A Swimming class is a series of lessons for a child to learn how to swim. Most countries have defined levels of swimming ability and a curriculum that is followed. Level 2: Stroke Development

Level 3: Allroundswimmer

These are designed to test an individual’s overall swimming ability. The bronze badge requires 200 meters in under 15 minutes, and the silver badge requires 400 meters in under 12 minutes. The gold badge requires ten meters of underwater swimming.
The program is based on an advanced level of swimming, and children will be taught stroke movements, coordinated breathing, and a 100-meter swim. They will also learn to handle watercraft safely, dive, and perform advanced lifesaving techniques. Before attempting this level, swimmers should be able to swim at least twenty-five yards in backstroke and freestyle and can swim at least three minutes.
Level 4: Diving
At this level, participants must be able to float and tread water for at least 15 seconds, roll to their backs, and perform a front and back float without assistance. They also should be able to recover to the vertical position with assistance. This level builds on skills learned in previous swimming classes. In the course of a year, participants should have learned the basics of breaststroke, kicking, and rolling to a back float.
Children in this level should be at least 2.5 years of age and wear a swim diaper. This class begins with fun activities that help children feel more confident in the water. They will also be taught basic stroke technique, such as front crawl and butterfly. They will also learn about the importance of water safety and how to help themselves in the event of an emergency.
