Are you a Hestra loyalist? If so, don’t dally too long – it’s already October and if you’re looking for a new pair of Hestra ski gloves before the winter hits, now’s high time. These three are great all-around options.
Hestra Army Leather Patrol 3-Finger Glove
Packing most of the advantages of both gloves and mittens, the Hestra Army Leather Patrol 3-Finger Glove makes a great choice if you’re looking for a new pair of Hestras and need both dexterity and warmth. These Hestra ski gloves are both tough and extremely warm, giving die-hard skiers the best of both worlds.
They’re made with goat leather palms that are both supple and extremely durable, tough enough to handle rough contact with ski poles, ski boot buckles, tree trunks, and branches.
They also feature a 3-layer dobby polyester shell that’s waterproof and windproof, with a CZone waterproof, breathable membrane. The G-Loft insulation brings plenty of heat for very cold days on the slopes.
They’re comfortable and practical, with a neoprene cuff and a hook-and-loop closure that’s easy to get on and off, and a removable liner that makes cleaning and drying easier.
Plus, the 3-finger design offers you a more dexterity than a pair of mittens would, but more warmth than most gloves.
Hestra Army Leather Gore-Tex
There are few ski gloves tougher than Hestra Army Leather Gore-Tex gloves. Made with a reinforced goat leather palm and a tough, windproof polyamide back, these gloves are designed, and made, to weather long days outside in harsh conditions.
In terms of protection, they feature a GORE-TEX liner that’s waterproof and breathable, allowing sweat to escape while preventing ice melt from getting in. It’s even made with synthetic 100% polyester fiberfill that stays warm even if it gets wet, making it perfect for skiers and snowboarders.
A durable velcro closure keeps the gloves on your wrists and the gauntlet design easily fits over sleeves, helping to keep snow and ice out. There’s even a handcuff that retains the gloves, even when you take them off.
Hestra Leather Fall Line
The Hestra Leather Fall Line gloves are inspired by the padded gloves worn by ski racers and made with thick, durable cowhide. It may be tough, but when it comes to putting up with true rough use, cowhide leather is hard to beat. These are not just great Hestra ski gloves – they’re also great for snow shoveling and other winter yard work.
These leather gloves aren’t just designed for durability, but for excellent tactility, and feature leather outseams that improve sensitivity, dexterity, and feel. The low profile insulation helps with sensitivity, too.
The only thing to mention is this: they’re warm, but they’re not the warmest Hestra ski gloves. The low profile G-Loft foam insulation is good for moderately cold to cold conditions, but not truly frigid days.
These are a great pair to get if you’re looking for a pair of all-around Hestra ski gloves that you can use outdoors, not just when you’re on the slopes.
